He died in his native Brooklyn, New York, on September 6, 2021. Jon Sternfeld is a former editor, the author of Unprepared, and the co-author of Crisis Point with Senators Tom Daschle and Trent Lott, A Stone of Hope with Jim St. Germain, and A Forever Family with Rob Scheer, among other nonfiction books. He lives in New York.
