Whitney Chadwick

Whitney Chadwick is an American art historian and educator specializing in modernism, Surrealism, and the study of gender and sexuality in art. She is a Professor Emerita at San Francisco State University, where she taught in the School of Art. Her notable publications include the widely recognized text Women, Art and Society, which has been updated through five editions since its initial release in 1990.
