Walter Chandoha

Walter George Chandoha was an American photographer active from 1920 to 2019. He is best known for his extensive archive of animal photography, specifically cats, as well as his work documenting flora and New York City street scenes. His career spanned decades, resulting in a collection of over 225,000 images, including approximately 90,000 photographs focused on feline subjects.
