Tom of Finland

Touko Valio Laaksonen, known as Tom of Finland, was a Finnish artist recognized for his stylized, hypermasculine erotic illustrations. Over a four-decade career, he produced approximately 3,500 drawings that significantly influenced late 20th-century gay culture. In 1984, he established the Tom of Finland Foundation in Los Angeles to preserve his extensive catalogue and support the broader field of erotic art.
