Stephanie Oursler

Stephanie Oursler (1938–2018) was an American visual artist, photographer, and installation artist whose work explored themes of gender, memory, and social justice. After relocating to Rome in the 1960s, she became a prominent figure in feminist art and political activism. She co-founded the Cooperativa Beato Angelico, a collective for women artists, and also served as a university teacher.
