Robert Fitzgerald
Robert Stuart Fitzgerald was an American poet, literary critic, and translator active from 1910 to 1985. He is best known for his translations of the Greek classics by Homer and Virgil, which became standard texts for scholars and students. In addition to his translation work, Fitzgerald composed several books of poetry throughout his career.
