Petrarchism

Petrarch was an Italian scholar and poet who lived from 1304 to 1374. As a central figure of the early Italian Renaissance, he is recognized as one of the first Renaissance humanists. His diverse body of work encompasses roles as a philosopher, translator, lyricist, writer, mountaineer, autobiographer, and philologist.
