Marshall Sahlins

Marshall David Sahlins is an American anthropologist recognized for his ethnographic research in the Pacific and his significant contributions to anthropological theory. He serves as the Charles F. Grey Distinguished Service Professor Emeritus of Anthropology and of Social Sciences at the University of Chicago. He was born on December 27, 1930.
