Kerry James Marshall
Kerry James Marshall is an American artist and professor born in 1955. Known for his figurative paintings of Black subjects, he previously taught at the University of Illinois at Chicago. Raised in Birmingham and Los Angeles, he has spent much of his career based in Chicago. In 2017, he was named one of the most influential people in the world by Time magazine.
