Kamal Boullata

Kamal Boullata (1942–2019) was a Palestinian artist and art historian associated with the Hurufiyya movement. Working primarily in acrylic and silkscreen, his abstract style utilized geometric forms and Arabic calligraphy to explore themes of Palestinian identity and separation from his homeland.
