Iwona Blazwick

Iwona Blazwick is a British curator, writer, and art critic who served as the Director of the Whitechapel Art Gallery in London from 2001 to 2022. Currently the lead curator for the Wadi Al Fann Al-'Ula Royal Commission, she has curated over 100 international exhibitions. Throughout her career, she has focused on supporting emerging artists, providing early solo platforms for figures such as Damien Hirst, Peter Doig, and Barbara Kruger.
