Hieronymus Bosch was a Dutch painter and draughtsman from Brabant, recognized as a significant figure in the Early Netherlandish painting school. His work primarily consists of oil paintings on oak wood featuring complex religious narratives and fantastical imagery. During his lifetime, his depictions of hell and religious concepts were widely collected and copied across the Netherlands, Austria, and Spain.
