Gil Scott-Heron

Gil Scott-Heron was an American jazz poet, singer, musician, and author who gained prominence for his spoken-word performances during the 1970s and 1980s. Collaborating frequently with Brian Jackson, he fused jazz, blues, and soul to address social and political themes. His influential work, including the poem The Revolution Will Not Be Televised, is widely recognized for its impact on the development of hip-hop music.
