Geraldo de Barros was a Brazilian painter, photographer, and designer who played a central role in the country's concrete art movement. A co-founder of Grupo Ruptura, he is best known for his Fotoformas series, which utilized experimental techniques like multiple exposures to document Brazil's mid-century urbanization. His multidisciplinary practice spanned engraving, graphic arts, and industrial design, establishing him as a key figure in 20th-century modernism.
