Eugene O'Neill

Eugene O'Neill was an American playwright who introduced the dramatic techniques of realism to the United States. He is the only playwright to receive four Pulitzer Prizes for Drama and was awarded the 1936 Nobel Prize in Literature. His notable works include the tragedy Long Day's Journey into Night, which is widely considered one of the finest American plays of the 20th century.
