Douglas Crimp

Douglas Crimp was an American art historian, critic, curator, and activist whose work bridged the fields of postmodernism, queer theory, and institutional critique. He served as the managing editor of the journal October from 1977 to 1990. Before his death, he held the position of Fanny Knapp Allen Professor of Art History and professor of Visual and Cultural Studies at the University of Rochester.
