David M. Wilson

Sir David Mackenzie Wilson is a British archaeologist, art historian, and museum curator specializing in Anglo-Saxon art and the Viking Age. He served as the director of the British Museum from 1977 to 1992, having previously worked there as an assistant keeper. During his tenure as director, he was involved in the high-profile debate regarding the ownership of the Elgin Marbles.
