David Levi Strauss
David Levi Strauss is an American art and cultural critic, essayist, poet, and educator. He has authored six books of essays, a volume of poetry, a book on photographic theory, and numerous artist monographs. Strauss served as Chair of the graduate program in Art Writing at the School of Visual Arts from 2007 to 2021 and held teaching positions at Bard College between 2001 and 2023.
