David J. Furley

David J. Furley (1922–2010) was a British scholar of ancient philosophy who specialized in Greco-Roman cosmology and natural philosophy. He held academic positions at University College London and Princeton University, where he served as Ewing Professor of Greek Language and Literature. Furley is recognized for his influential works Two Studies in the Greek Atomists and The Greek Cosmologists, as well as his precise analytical writing.
